Lloyd and Tracy were married in May of 1981. Tracy is also a Realtor and they have had a lot of 
fun running the business and raising their two children together.
Besides real estate, Lloyd is passionate about politics and cycling. He is an active member and former chairman of the Sutter County Republican Central Committee. As a cyclist, his bicycle racing days are probably over after having suffered 28 fractures from various bicycle crashes. However, he still rides almost daily, weather permitting. His rides average 30+ miles.
Tracy loves music and has been a member of the the St. Isidore Catholic Church choir. She has also been a member of the Yuba Sutter Master Chorale since the early 1990's. She currently serves as their Board President. She also enjoys gardening and decorating. In addition to her regular Realtor duties, she brings her decorating flair to the real estate business by way of assisting clients in staging their homes. She was also active cooking meals for the homeless as part of the feed the homeless project coordinated by St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and St. Isidore Catholic Church until that program's termination.
Son Peter graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ with a Bachelor's degree in aeronautical science and minors in air safety and weather. He also earned his 
commercial pilot's license.
Peter is a licensed electrician working for Tesla Inc. His work is primarily focused on installation of the Tesla "Powerwall" battery and installing new main electric panels for Tesla clients.
Daughter Liz graduated from Loretto High School. During high school, she was accepted into the Yuba City Police Department's cadet program. 
After graduating from Loretto, Liz attended California State University, Sacramento. She graduated in three years with a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
Liz worked in local government for a time. She has now developed what was a part time gardening business into a full time venture. It includes landscape design, plant selection and & planting, pruning, weeding and more. She has two children, James (January 2012) and Ethan (February 2014).
Lloyd, Tracy, Peter, Liz, James and Ethan are members of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Lloyd is a member of the St. Isidore Finance Council.
For their parts, Lloyd and Tracy have not aged a day since the picture above was taken even though those two, cute little children have somehow managed to grow up.

Lloyd was chairman of the Sutter-Yuba Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee from 1999 to 2019. He has also served as the Association's president, has been a California Association of Realtors' director and has been the recipient of all of the highest awards offered to real estate agents by the Association. He is one of only three brokers in the history of the Association to have received Broker of the Year award twice (2003 & 2013). He has been the recipient of the Lloyd Leighton Sr. Consistent Service Award (2005 & 2011), the Community Service Award (1995) and the Realtor of the Year Award (1991).
Lloyd formerly served as the chairman of the Sutter County Republican Party.
Born and raised in Marysville and Yuba City, Lloyd attended local schools and was active in agriculture leadership and sports.
1974: Graduated with honors from California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness and a chemistry minor.
1976-1984: Employed by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Farmers Home Administration. Eight years of experience in residential and agricultural lending and appraising. He served the last three years as County Supervisor covering Modoc and Lassen counties.
1985-1987: Fee Appraiser for Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).
1987-1989: Joined the Sutter-Yuba Association of Realtors. Real Estate Sales Agent for Shamrock Realtors
1989 to 1996:
Salaried employed at Interwest Homes Corporation. Seven years of experience in sales, appraisals, and subdivision development. Managed a successful home trade-in program that at one point accounted for two thirds on Interwest's new home sales.
1996 to 1998: Worked at Interwest Homes Corporation as a commissioned sales agent.
1998 to present: Owner/broker at Lloyd Leighton Realtors.
